Notice: This fix is for Windows XP and not for Windows Vista or Windows 7. Please make sure you always start at the the beginning of the guide.

Troubleshooting the Vista Recovery Disc

Issue 1: When I boot the Vista Recovery Disc, I get a blue screen.

Answer 1: Try rebooting the Vista Recovery Disc and then try to keep hitting F8 as the first bar loads up. Once loaded, a menu will come up. Try selecting Safe Mode to boot the Vista Recovery Disc in its own Safe Mode.

Issue 2: I tried booting the Vista Recovery Disc in Safe Mode, but it's still giving me a blue screen.

Answer 2: Try the Alternate Disc. Be aware that this disc will not allow you to perform all of the things that the SaveMe program offers, only a simple fix.
