Part 2 - What can you boot?

Since your computer is probably still on, try turning it off with a menu option on your screen. If you can't find one, turn off the computer by holding down the power button on your computer for at least 5 seconds and it should turn off.

Now, on the infected computer that you just turned off, do you have a CD/DVD drive?

Yes, the infected computer has a CD/DVD drive in it or attached to it and I am able to boot CDs/DVDs: Click here to continue

No, the infected computer is a netbook and does not have access to an external CD/DVD drive: Click here to continue

Was this step extra helpful? Please it!
